(AGL) SAE 80W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube, GL-5, MT-1

Synthetic Gear Lube SAE 80W-90 (AGL)
High quality replacement for applications specifying SAE 80W-90 conventional gear lube. Synthetic construction provides improved cold flow properties, high viscosity index and heat resistance. Contains an over treat of high quality additives, exceeding the minimum standards. Provides excellent wear protection and long equipment life. Performance specifications include: API GL-5 & MT-1, MIL-PRF-2105E, Dana SHAES 234 (Formerly Eaton PS-037) for 250,000 miles, Mack GO-J, plus hypoid gear oil specifications from all foreign and domestic manufacturers such as GM, Ford and Daimler Chrysler. Can also be used in rear axles where API Service GL-4 lubricant is recommended.

Semi-Synthetic WLJ Slideway, Chain and Gear Lube
AMSOIL Semi-Synthetic WLJ is a high-quality, heavy duty lubricant composed of synthetic base oils, large molecule petroleum base oils and additives specifically designed for EP applications found in gear, chain and machine tool applications. This combination of base oils and EP additives provides the excellent lubricity and film strength needed to prevent scoring and wear during equipment operations. By incorporating synthetic base oils, AMSOIL WLJ reduces friction for good overall performance.


Helpful Differential Recommendations:
 

  • Flush (drain) as much of the old fluid out.
     
  • Differential fluid capacity depends on ring gear and axle housing size.
     
  • Do not over/under fill differential. This could mean a capacity difference of a quart or more and may cause over heating problems. (See the owner's manual for proper fill level)
     
  • AMSOIL gear oils are formulated with friction modifiers for limited slip differential applications. There is no need to add limited slip or additional additives.
     
  • After changing the differential fluid, drive the vehicle in 7 or 8 figure eight turns, so new lubricant can work its way into the axle assembly
